Making New Connections
Middle school brings new classmates, new lunch periods, and new social groups. Encourage your student to say hello to someone new, join a club, or sit somewhere different at lunch. Clubs are starting to be on the daily announcements, encourage your student to join. 6th graders learned about levels of Friendship this week.
Try this at home: Ask your student to name one person they'd like to get to know better this year.

IMPORTANT BACK-TO-SCHOOL IMMUNIZATION NOTICE
Per Ohio law, students entering the 7th and 12th grades must have updated vaccination records or an official exemption form on file by the 14th day of school to avoid exclusion from classes.

LABEL ITEMS BROUGHT TO SCHOOL
Our lost and found is already filling up! Please label students lunchboxes, water bottles and gym bags. It's much easier to find the owner when items are labeled and it prevents our lost and found from getting so full. We will periodically donate lost and found items to local thrift stores.

SMITHIE INVITE KIDS FUN RUN
Come join the Smithville Cross Country teams for the Smithie Invite Kids Fun Run! This free fun run for kids up through 6th grade will be approximately one mile and will take place at the start of the Smithie Invite on Tuesday, September 8th at 4pm at Wayne College. High School and middle school races will follow the Kids Fun Run. No registration required. Questions? Contact Coach Carr at gren_jcarr@tccsa.net.

Please have students log into their Final Forms account and sign off on the student forms that need signed.

SPORTS PASSES
Students received their free sports pass via student square and parent square. These allow all students K-12 to get into home sporting events for free all year. Students should show their pass at the admission gate for free entry.
