Forging Smithies for Success

Re: GMS Weekly Newsletter 10/16/25

Posted Date: 10/16/25 (3:30 PM)

ATTENTION GMS PARENTS!!!

We have many students being dropped off before 7am.  Please do not drop off students before 7am - this is a huge safety concern since students are arriving before the teacher’s workday. Please have students stay in your vehicle until 7am.  Thank you!

WINTER SPORTS PARENT MEETING

Tuesday, October 21, will be the Winter Sports Parent Meeting.  We will begin in the cafeteria at 7pm. If your student did not play a fall sport there is a good chance they will need an updated physical.

Students are NOT permitted to practice until a physical is on file in the Athletic office.

FUN FRIDAYS

October 24 - Flannel Friday; find that cozy flannel and wear it!

October 31 - Costume Day; must be school appropriate and students must be able to sit at their desks.

FCA

FCA will meet on 10/24 and 10/31. The November dates are 11/14 and 11/21. Students must report to the Elementary cafeteria.

SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING CLUB

Flyers have been hung around the school. Chrissy Danko is the advisor. You can sign up at the Snow Trail website with a 20% off discount code till December 1st
